Vencore has been awarded a $6.4 million follow-on task order to continue support Air Force nuclear detection efforts.
The company will continue to work on the Air Force Technical Applications Center’s Expert Scientific and Analytical Support program. “Vencore will continue the system development of the AFTAC Modular Optimized Operations System (MOOS),” said a company news release. MOOS, currently being developed by Vencore, will replace the existing AFTAC Nuclear Detonation Detection System Analysis System.
MOOS analyzes evidence of nuclear explosions compiled by various types of sensors.
