General Atomics has been awarded a $34 million contract to develop software for Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) MQ-9 Reapers.

Under the contract, General Atomics will develop AFSOC MQ-9 medium altitude long endurance tactical lead-off hitter (MALET LOH) software, according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.

The work will be performed in California, New Mexico and Florida. Completion is scheduled for February 2018.
