Romania has received U.S. unmanned quadcopters under a Foreign Military Sales contract.

Romania was given four Phoenix 30 quadcopter systems, manufactured by UAV Solutions, according to a UPI article. Each system includes electro-optical/infrared stabilized camera sensors, a ground control system, applicable spares and ground support equipment.

The 14-pound Phoenix 30 has an endurance of 30 to 35 minutes and a cruise speed of 15.5 knots. The U.S. Navy is preparing to evaluate the quadcopterUAV later this year.
