Booz Allen Hamilton has been awarded a Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Agency task order, valued at up to $380 million, for counter-IED research.

Under the five-year task order, awarded under the General Services Administration's Alliant contract, Booz Allen Hamilton will provide JIDA with "rapid development and fielding of counter-threat technologies, delivering urgent mission information technology solutions within the combatant commanders' latest time of value in support of operations throughout the globe to eliminate or neutralize enemy insurgent networks that threaten U.S. interests and employ improvised threats, including improvised explosive devices (IEDs)," according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.

The task order is part of the JIDA Enterprise Acquisition Strategy Initiative.
