Engility has been awarded a $42 million task order to support the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

Engility will help the Office of the Secretary of Defense's Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Systems Engineering to "develop, update and disseminate the policy and guidance used for DoD-wide systems engineering acquisition," according to a company news release.

"The team will also conduct strategic studies in areas such as cyber security, software assurance and trusted and assured microelectronics," the release said.


"The initial task order, which impacts programs valued in the billions of dollars, also includes services in modular open systems architectures, digital engineering, reliability and maintainability, manufacturing, anti-tamper/anti-counterfeit, program protection, value engineering and human-systems interfaces," Engility said.
