SAIC has been awarded a contract to upgrade C4ISR capabilities on Army vehicles.

Under the task order, SAIC will upgrade and integrate C4ISR application and hardware kits, or capability sets, for Humvees and Mine Resistant Ambush Protected All-Terrain Vehicles, according to a company news release. The work is for the Army Program Office for Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles and the Army Product Manager Light Tactical Vehicles, as part of the Army Network Modernization Plan.

The task order has a one-year base period and a six-month option, which if exercised would bring the total contract value to $61 million. The task order was awarded by the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic.
