Raytheon has been awarded a $14.8 million contract modification for additional Navy multiband terminals (NMT).

Though the contract was awarded by the Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, about $12.4 million of the contract will be paid for by Coast Guard funds, according to the Department of Defense contract announcement. The remainder will come out of Foreign Military Sales funds for Australia.

The NMT provides protected and wideband satellite communications, including extremely high frequency (EHF), advanced EHF, military Ka and Global Broadcast Service receive-only communications.

The contract is scheduled to be completed by February 2019.
