Harris Corp. has been awarded a Navy contract to develop electronic warfare technology.
Harris will provide technology and engineering services for the Naval Research Laboratory's Advanced Decoy Architecture Project (ADAP), according to a company announcement. "Harris will provide ADAP payloads designed to lure missiles away from their intended targets with advanced electronic techniques," the company said. The ADAP payloads are an upgrade to the existing Nulka decoy, currently in service with the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, Royal Australian Navy and Royal Canadian Navy.
The three-year, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a maximum value of $54 million.
