Raytheon was recently awarded a $52.6 million task order to modernize the Miniature Airborne Global Positioning System Receiver 2000 (MAGR-2K).
Raytheon will upgrade the receiver to meet Department of Defense and civilian mandates for an M-code system. Raytheon will deliver a "qualified MAGR-2K-M, which will include GPS M-Code and automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast out functionality, while designing out known and anticipated obsolescence issues, and contain provisions for open systems architecture approaches," according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.
The contract is scheduled to be completed by July 2019.
