Boeing has been awarded a $92.9 million Air Force contract to support E-3 AWACS aircraft.

Under the five-year contract, Boeing will provide sustainment engineering and technical support, as well as generate technical requirements, for NATO and the U.S., British, Saudi, Japanese and French air forces, according to a U.S. Department of Defense announcement.

The contract does not involve foreign military sales. Unusually, the DoD announcement also stated that "there is no known congressional interest pertaining to this acquisition."
