Cloud-based GEOINT image viewer enters beta phase

Textron's RVcloud has moved into beta testing. The product offers many of the same image capabilities of the company's RemoteView GEOINT software, but in a cloud platform.

Released by Textron Systems Geospatial Solutions, RVcloud's web technology reduces customer costs and avoids the overhead required by desktop products. The company announced the beta release on Feb. 16.

RVcloud runs in modern browsers and works on mobile devices as well as desktop computers. The company says RVcloud's streaming display presents a high-fidelity view of source data and enables users to instantly access all standard GEOINT image formats without first downloading the full image.
