BAE Systems has unveiled an upgraded version of its Naval Autonomy Tactical Information System (NAUTIS) counter-mine system.

“NAUTIS 5 incorporates a number of new and improved features including: improved command and control for autonomous and off-board systems, an improved human-computer interface with latest graphical technologies, and embedded onboard training,” according to a BAE news release.

NAUTIS 5 uses commercial off-the-shelf hardware. Mine countermeasures ships that currently use NAUTIS (including more than 65 ships from seven navies across the world) can upgrade without changing on-board consoles.
