The APEx Predator System, made by Black Diamond Advanced Technology, has been chosen by the Air Force Battlefield Airmen Special Projects Office as their Operational Control System (OCS) solution, according to a Black Diamond news release. The company was awarded a $48.1 million contract for 22 APEx Predator Systems.

The wearable computer and communications system will be used by all tactical air control parties, combat control teams, pararescue and combat weathermen. The system includes a tablet computer for C4ISR and small UAV control.
