Gavin to lead panel on PEO EIS opportunities at Naval IT Day

Navy PEO-EIS Victor Gavin will lead a panel discussion on contractor opportunities in the PEO-EIS office, and the re-compete of NGEN, the Navy's next-generation network, at an AFCEA Northern Virginia Chapter event on May 14.

Also on the panel will be Laura Knight, program manager of the Sea Warrior Program; Shannon Seay acting program manager of Navy Enterprise Business Solutions; and Phil Anderson, deputy program manager of Naval Enterprise Networks.

At a previous event, Gavin summed up his office's mission as: "We conduct the business of the Navy."

NGEN is a major priority for Gavin, but the PEO EIS is responsible for many different technology-based initiatives, he said at the West 2015 sea services expo in February.

AFCEA's Naval IT Day also features a roster of high-level keynote speakers, including John Zanguardi, acting Navy CIO; BGen Kevin Nally, director of C4/CIO for the Marine Corps; and VADM Ted Branch, deputy chief of naval operations for information dominance.
