Harris Corp. has won a $29 million contract to deliver targeting systems for the F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler.

Under the two-year contract, Harris will provide avionics for the Distributed Targeting System on the two jets, according to a company announcement.

"The F/A-18 brings critical Navy fighter and electronic warfare capabilities for the U.S. and key allies such as Australia," said Ed Zoiss, president of electronic systems for Harris. "Upgrading the mission- and image-processing prowess of the platform will help ensure that it continues to be the primary fighter aircraft for the U.S. Navy."
