Black Box hired to improve Camp Lejeune's telecommunications

Black Box Corporation has been awarded a $17.9 million Marine Corps contract to improve telecommunications at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Under the contract with the Marine Corps Systems Command Base Telecommunications Infrastructure Program Office, BlackBox will "upgrade and expand the existing telecommunication network architecture and systems to a high availability Unified Communications solution," according to a company news release.

The contract is part of a Marine Corps effort to globally improve its C4I capabilities.
