FLIR has been awarded a $17.9 million Coast Guard contract for infrared sensors.

Under the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, FLIR will provide up to 19 forward-looking, infrared Star SAFIRE 380-HD systems for the Coast Guard's HC-27J fleet, according to the Department of Defense contract announcement. The contract also includes associated high-definition FLIR cabling, controller units, software, mounting hardware, technical engineering services and logistics support.

The contract is scheduled to be completed by June 2022.
