CACI has been awarded a $28 million contract to develop sensors for the Army's Communications-Electronics Research, Development, and Engineering Center's Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD).

The 22-month task order calls for CACI to provide "technical, engineering, and program management support for the research and development of night vision and infrared technologies, which detect air, sea, and ground targets during the day and night, and in adverse visual conditions," according to a company news release. The task order was awarded under the Strategic Services Sourcing (S3) contract vehicle.
