The Textron Airland Scorpion strike/ISR aircraft has been tested with a multi-mode radar.

A Thales I-Master radar was integrated into a Scorpion, complementing its electro-optical/infrared sensors, according to a Thales news release. The I-Master adds long range, wide area surveillance and target tracking.

"This joint exercise shows how flexible the radar is and how easily it can be integrated onto a platform," said Eddie Awang, vice president in charge of Thales's ISR division. " The combination of I-Master and the Scorpion jet demonstrates a powerful 'surveillance and strike' capability."
