Raytheon has been awarded a $15 million Air Force contract to develop high-power electromagnetics, or HPEM.
Under the indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract, Raytheon "will focus on the analysis of HPEM systems and their integration with a variety of airborne platforms," according to the Department of Defense contract announcement. "This includes utilization of simulation tools to assess the proposed integrated platform's performance in mission operations."
The work will be performed at at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico.
