Operational units within II Marine Expeditionary Force will participate in MV-22 "Osprey" Marine Air Ground Task Force integration training 1 March at Outlying Landing Field Atlantic, near Beaufort, N.C. Marine Aircraft Group 26 is responsible for organizing and coordinating this training for VMM-263, the first operational MV-22 squadron in the Marine Corps. The purpose of the training is to prepare both the squadron and other elements of the Marine Air Ground Task Force, which for this exercise is 1st Battalion, 8th Marines, for operations together in the continuing fight on the front lines of the Global War on Terrorism.
