Northrop Grumman is teaming up with aircraft component manufacturer Triumph Group to ramp up the production of parts, including wings, for high-altitude, long-endurance unmanned aircraft.

The five-year memorandum of understanding "reinforces the long-term agreement between senior leadership of both companies to support our customers by ensuring successful execution of numerous systems in the 2016-2026 planning period," according to a Triumph announcement.

"Northrop Grumman is a very important customer, and we are pleased to continue to partner with them by delivering high quality, UAS-compliant wings," Triumph CEO Dan Crowley said. "We are implementing multiple process and production improvements to significantly reduce flow days. We're making important investments in tooling and talent to improve schedule, quality and cost for the systems."
