Lockheed Martin has been awarded an $80 million Navy contract modification for computer program baselines for the Aegis intergrated naval weapons system.computers on Aegis ships.

Naval Sea Systems Command is exercising options The contract award, which exercises options on a previously awarded contract, is for Aegis Combat System Engineering Agent (CSEA) development efforts design of computer program baselines and associated technology insertion hardware design support for the future Advanced Capability Build (ACB), according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.

"Under this contract, the Aegis CSEA shall develop, integrate, test, and deliver computer program baseline ACBs and support technology insertions (TIs) —a replacement and/or upgrade of combat system computing hardware and associated middleware/firmware—design development; develop engineering products to support ship integration; support developmental test/operational test events; develop training and logistics products; and provide field technical support for designated Aegis baselines," the Department of Defense said.
