Enlighten IT Consulting has been awarded a $40 million task order for continued development of the Big Data Platform (BDP).

"BDP is a robust and scalable cloud-based architecture with streaming ingest capabilities and provides storage and retrieval rates in the trillions of records per second," according to an Enlighten news release. "BDP ingests and stores data derived from numerous DoD sensors to support analytics that protect and defend the Department of Defense Information Networks (DoDIN)."

"Enlighten's expertise will build on and improve the methods used to rapidly infuse new emerging commercial and open source technologies into the platform," the company said. "Enlighten will also facilitate the contribution of new capabilities and analytics by DISA's mission partners to assist the entire DoD community in fulfilling its missions."
