Modern Technology Solutions Inc. has been awarded a $10 million Missile Defense Agency contract modification for sensor and simulation work.

“Under this modification, the contractor will be developing models of new interceptor and sensor concepts; algorithms spanning the breadth of functionality of interceptor and sensor on-board systems; and high-fidelity closed-loop simulations of interceptors, sensors, and tools and techniques for defining, executing, and aggregating large high-fidelity data sets,” according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.

The work, to be performed in Huntsville, Ala., increases the value of the original contract to $35.5 million.
