Mercury Systems has snagged a $2.4 million contract for GPS Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Modules (SAASM).
The contact is a follow-on order to a previous contract awarded to "a leading defense prime contractor" that Mercury did not identify in its news release. The company did say the GPS equipment is intended for a "precision guided munitions application."
"This order showcases precisely the type of cost-effective technology leverage that Mercury can deliver for our customers' most important and challenging programs," Mercury Senior Vice President Charlie Leader said. "Our advanced microelectronics solutions are designed and manufactured with very high levels of ruggedization and in very small form factors, essential for our customers and our war fighters."
