Some of the world's largest defense contractors as well as U.S. Navy and Marine Corps leadership converged on the San Diego Convention Center in mid-February for the annual West naval conference. Here's what it looked like.
The 926th Engineer Brigade, comprised of U.S. Army National Guard and Reserve soldiers, have had the lead on the projects at the Joint National Training Center in Romania since October 2016. The efforts fall under one exercise — Resolute Castle 2017 — designed to not only build improvements to the training facilities but also to help train the soldiers there working on the projects.
This exercise was based on a fictional scenario where European countries are attacked by the enemy with the intention to gain control over economic activities in the Black Sea region.
