Segovia has been awarded a Defense Information Systems Agency contract, worth up to $450 million, for satellite communications services.

Under the five-year, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, Segovia, which is owned by Inmarsat, will provide "worldwide commercial telecommunications services to include satellite capacity in C, Ku, Ka and X-Band for mobile and fixed satellite transceivers on maritime, airborne and ground platforms," according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.

The contract features one base year and four one-year options.
