Cybersecurity firm root9B has been awarded a subcontract to support U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM).

Prime contractor SAIC chose root9B for a $460 million USCYBERCOM contract.

"This award provides root9B the opportunity to showcase its operational expertise in cyber operations, training, threat intelligence and capabilities development," a root9B news release said. "root9B, in partnership with SAIC, will aim to provide manpower, services, and create solutions to enhance US Cyber Command and its ability to plan, coordinate, integrate, synchronize, and conduct the operations and defense of Department of Defense components."
