Battelle and Dedrone are teaming up to stop unmanned aerial vehicles.

Under the memorandum of understanding, Battelle will provide its DroneDefender counter-UAV directed-energy system, which disrupts the command links of drones. Dedrone will provide its UAV detection system, which uses machine-learning software to analyze data from passive sensors, and then identifies the characteristics of each drone and its flight path.

“We are excited for the opportunity to collaborate with a proven detection capability and bring a more comprehensive solution to our customers while continuing to focus on our effective defeat products,” said Dan Stamm, Battelle’s manager of counter-UAV programs.
