General Atomics has launched its Team Reaper Australia group to meet the Australian military's search for a new drone.

Team Reaper Australia is aimed at the Australian military's Project Air 7003, which seeks a medium-altitude, long-endurance UAV, according to a General Atomics news release. Team Reaper includes several Australian firms: Cobham, CAE Australia, Raytheon Australia and Flight Data Systems.

"We have been working closely with the Australian Defense Force to understand the operational needs of AIR 7003 and are confident that our RPA System solution will provide mature, persistent, interoperable support to Australia's warfighters," General Atomics CEO Linden Blue said.
