Army Material Command successfully installed an upgraded wireless local area network (WLAN) at Letterkenny Army Depot, the ninth site to receive such an upgrade.

Personnel from Tobyhanna Army Depot deployed the WLAN for Letterkenny, which has not had a functional wireless network since 2012. The installation involved routing 16 miles of cat-6 cable between 539 short-range wireless high-speed data access points, and will facilitate next-generation Logistics Modernization Program Increment 2 communications.

The Tobyhanna team is currently working at the mission's 10th site: Anniston Army Depot, Alabama. The three remaining sites scheduled for network integrations include Sierra Army Depot, California; Pine Bluff Arsenal, Arkansas; and Crane Army Ammunition Plant, Indiana.
