Northrop Grumman has been awarded a $9.4 million Air Force cybersecurity contract.

Under the contract with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division, Northrop Grumman will continue development and deployment of the Air Force’s Cyber Mission Platform (CMP). The one-year contract is part of a three-year, $37 million task order.

CMP is the Air Force’s first comprehensive cyberspace operations system to manage and deliver cyber tools and weapons. “Northrop Grumman is leveraging its ‘agile-earned value’ approach and model-based systems engineering to help war fighters respond more quickly to emerging requirements and facilitate shorter development time,” said a company news release.

Northrop Grumman won the original CMP contract in 2014.
