Northrop Grumman to ready Robins Air Force base for IT update

Northrop Grumman has been awarded a $16.2 million contract to upgrade the IT system at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia.

In addition to maintaining hardware and software, the work will include "managing and executing technical data generation, acceptance and sustainment activities, cleansing and migration efforts necessary to prepare data for transition into modernized Air Force enterprise level systems," according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.

The work is scheduled to be completed by 2020.
