BAE to support U.S. Navy's comms, electronics systems

BAE Systems has been awarded a $41.3 million Navy contract to support communications and electronics systems.

Under the contract, with the Naval Air Warfare Center — Aircraft Division's Special Communications Mission Solutions Division, BAE will provide "design, development, customization, fabrication, integration, test and evaluation, installation, certification, maintenance and upgrade, logistic, and life cycle support of new and/or existing communication-electronic platforms, equipment/systems and subsystems," according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.

The contract is scheduled for completion by December 2018.
